Kaga-shizuku
Ishikawa’s original large pear with moderate sweetness and smooth, juicy texture
This pear was developed over 16 years. “Kosui”, a representative Japanese pear, was used as the father and “Kuratsuki”, which is produced in only one area of the prefecture, was the mother. This pear has inherited its parents’ advantageous characteristics; it is juicy and has moderate sweetness without sourness and a smooth, crunchy texture. Although most other pears have a weight of around 400g, Kaga-shizuku weigh around 600g, making it a heavy pear.
